Language and Words: Doors to Success or Failure

Words:The Tools to Make Your World or Break It

When was the last time you secretly repented having used rash, inappropriate or angry words?  Conversely when was the last time you regretted speaking in positive, uplifting and motivating words?

In the first instance, like most people; you too may have realized in hind sight that the words used in anger were inappropriate. Similarly in the second case you may have never regreted using kind and motivating words.

Words are the things which make our language, that’s what we think. In fact the power of words is extremely underrated. Words have more impact on our lives than any other factor one can think of.
Words can either make you or break you. They can motivate you or de-motivate you in an instant. Words spoken in prayer can have a magical effect on your life and words spoken in anger can have a devastating effect on your life.

"Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs." -Pearl Strachan Hurd

“Be careful of the words you say, Keep them short and sweet. You never know, from day to day, which ones you'll have to eat.”- Anonymous

The above given examples are just two of thousands of facts told to us by brilliant minds. The words of great minds of the past are with us like pearls in an oyster. Reading just half a dozen words from these past masters give us priceless wisdom.

I have a list of three things about words that have power to change your life for the better:
  •  Read as many words of wisdom given to us by past masters and dwell deeply on what meaning they bring to your life.
  • Consciously remove all the negative words in your everyday vocabulary and replace them with positive and motivating words.
  •  Be mindful of the words you use all the time so that you may stop using the wrong ones. Right before you open your mouth to speak just think the impact of the words you are about to release and in case you feel they are inappropriate make and instant adjustment

Like self motivation self regulation in the use of words will make you a more positive and successful person. The more you are able to control your words the better you will control your life.
